About North Greenville University

North Greenville University, or NGU for short, is a private university, affiliated with South Carolina Baptist Convention, located in Tigerville, which is a small unincorporated rural community in Greenville County, in the US state of South Carolina, part of the Greenville-Mauldin-Easley Metropolitan Statistical Area.

North Greenville University was established in 1891 and it is currently recognized as a National Liberal Arts College, in the annual US News & World Report list of America's Best Colleges, also being among the top private universities and colleges in the state, with regard to the number of Palmetto and Life Scholars enrolled.

Athletics

NGU's sports teams are known as the Crusaders, which compete in NCAA Division II and NCCAA, in various sports, for both men and women, among which there are: football, cross country, tennis, softball, soccer, softball and cheerleading. Their distinctive colors are red, black and white.
